We have chosen Dementia UK because my Dad passed away with dementia, and as a family we saw firsthand how cruel this disease is. It affects not only the person living with it, but also the people who love and care for them. Dementia UK does vital work, providing advice, practical help and emotional support to families affected by dementia. This charity means a great deal to us because we understand how important that support is, how hard it can be to access help, and how much more still needs to be done for people living with dementia and the families caring for them.
