Raising money for Women's Aid

My chosen charity is Women’s Aid because they were there for me at a time when I felt frightened, isolated, and unsure where to turn. During my divorce, I experienced emotional, financial and physical abuse that escalated to the point where I had to involve the police, which ultimately led to several non-molestation orders being put in place. There were times I was living in the same house, locking my bedroom door at night because I was genuinely afraid. In those moments, being able to pick up the phone and speak to someone who wasn’t emotionally involved—but who truly understood—was a lifeline. They listened without judgment, helped me feel safer, and gave me valuable advice when I needed it most, reminding me that I wasn’t alone. With Women’s Aid’s support, I was able to find strength and begin to rebuild. Supporting Women’s Aid means supporting others who are living through that same fear, and helping them find the strength, support, and safety that everyone deserves.
